PRIVACY POLICY

Our privacy policy explains what personal data we may ask you to provide and how we process that data. We take your privacy very seriously and you can be assured that we never share personal data with third parties, and we only use your data for the specific purpose of ensuring you receive the correct, safe treatment and that we are able to communicate with you for appointment purposes. Our policy complies with both the Data Protection Act (2018) and the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).  These laws provide strict rules on data privacy and security that every business collecting data has to comply with.  Specifically these regulations ensure that:

  • data is collected lawfully, and that collection is necessary for a specified purpose.

  • data is only processed for that specific purpose (unless consent is given).

  • data is kept up to date and accurate.

  • data is stored securely and is not kept for longer than necessary.

  • data is not shared with any third parties (unless consent is given).

The personal data that may be collected from you and how it is collected:

All personal data is taken directly from you, the customer, with your consent. The two types of personal data we collect are:

CONTACT/IDENTITY DATA:

This includes your full name, email, telephone number, and address.  These details may be collected when you phone, email, fill in the website contact form, or use Facebook messenger to contact us.

MEDICAL DATA:

This includes medical conditions, allergies, injuries, and patch test results.  These details are collected during the consultation process where you will be asked to fill out a consultation form.  We may also ask you to confirm if you have any allergies prior to the appointment (via phone, email or however you initially contacted us).

Why personal data is collected and how it is used:

IDENTIFICATION & CONTACT PURPOSES:

We need to take identification data (name, phone number , email) in order to correspond with you regarding appointments or answering a query you may have. We need to take your address as we are a mobile service travelling to you.

TO ENSURE YOUR TREATMENT IS SAFE & APPROPRIATE:

It is important before we start your treatment that we carry out a consultation in which you will be asked to provide information on any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that you may have.  This is done for the purpose of identifying any contraindications (conditions that may either prevent or restrict the treatment from taking place).  We are legally obliged to record this information to ensure we are complying with our insurance policy and that everyone is protected. We may also need to carry out a patch test to ensure you don't have any allergies and this will be recorded on the consultation form.

Lawful basis for collecting your personal data:

CONSENT:

All medical data we collect from you is done so with your explicit consent.    All data provided by a young person under 16 years old is done so with both the young person and the parent/guardian's explicit consent.  Medical data is only processed for the specific purpose of ensuring that there are no contraindications to treatment.

LEGITIMATE INTEREST:

We have a legitimate reason for collecting your contact/identity data in order to correspond with you regarding appointments or to answer queries you may have.   When you book an appointment we have a legitimate interest in collecting your address details in order to travel to you for your appointment.

CONTRACT

You are entering in to a contract with us when you agree to purchase a beauty service, therefore we need to collect your personal data (contact/identity data and medical data) in order to deliver that service effectively and safely.

Sharing of personal data:

We do not share any of your personal information with third parties.  Your data is used for the explicit purpose of ensuring we provide the correct treatment and to enable us to communicate with you and identify you (eg regarding appointments/queries).

GDPR and children:

Children and young people under 16 years must have their parent/guardian present when providing any personal data.  Consent must be obtained by the parent/guardian.  Therefore we require the parent/guardian to be present when the young person is filling out a consultation form before their treatment starts.

Storage of personal data:

All personal data is stored securely, consultation forms are stored under lock and key.  We keep your personal data for 7 years after you last had an appointment with us, it is then destroyed.

Legal rights of clients:

You have the right to:

  • Be informed of how we intend to use your personal data before you disclose any information.

  • To rectify any personal data that is incorrect or out of date.

  • Be informed on how we use your data and why.

  • To restrict processing of your personal data.

  • To access a copy of your personal data within 30 days of making a request. This is done by contacting us and asking for a Data Subject Access Request (SAR).

  • To request that your personal information be deleted from our records (when there is no purpose for us to still have it eg you haven't been a client for many years).

  • To data portability (to have your personal data transferred eg to another business).
